"Daisy's Mad Scientist party was fantastic. It was Halloween so really easy for costumes and ghoulish party treats. Each child had a work station with safety goggles and a stained apron (red food coloring), and on each tray they had a jug, mixing bowls, test tubes, pipettes, etc. We set up about four experiments, for example neutralizing vampire blood with ground garlic (bicarbonate of soda mixed with vinegar and red food coloring).
They then had free time and we provided lots of containers of flour, bicarb, vinegar, color water etc. They were so engrossed in mixing and experimenting, it was fantastic. The only way to get them to stop was by doing 'explosions' [of] Mentos in cola! Lunch was served in individual plastic cauldrons, which then doubled as party bags (re-filled as they made explosions). It was fantastic!” —Niamh F. of Daisy and Finns Party Ideas
