Make it as long as you like, but I recommend 2 to 4 pages. On the bottom of each page, take a highlighter and write a short sentences about what you love about your child. Try to keep the sentences to about 4 to 5 words: “I love your nose,” “I love your toes,” “You make me smile,” “You make me laugh,” or other similar phrases.
Now pass the book to your child. Using pencils, crayons or markers, have your child trace the letters in your highlighted sentences. It doesn’t matter if the book ends up a scribbly mess; you want to see how well your child forms the letters and stays in the lines. In a few months, when you move on from this power pack, you will see growth in the strength of your child’s shoulder, arm and hand.
