Ashley Goodman, an Oklahoma mom of three, knows how much receiving help from a kind stranger during the holiday season can help; when she was a single mother trying to get through nursing school, her family's holidays were brightened by gifts from the Salvation Army.

This year, her daughter Alexis, decided to give back. The six-year-old decided to spend her birthday money buying holiday gifts for a little girl in need she doesn't know, though the Adopt an Angel's wish list program that she saw while out shopping.
