I enjoy planning my daughter's birthday party - in fact I enjoy planning parties in general, so when my daughter's party comes around each year I have so much fun, from decor to food to games. I love it all!

I thought I would show you the invites I created for my daughter's 8th birthday party. We decided on a neutral theme, e.g., no Disney or Barbie, etc. (Throwing a "non branded" party means you don't pay extra for merchandise with licensed characters.)

Here is a picture of the party invitations I designed using a free background and some text in Photoshop. You could create this just as easily in Microsoft Word. (Click on it to see a larger version.)

As you can see, to add more excitement I placed feathers, sequins and jewels loose inside the envelope for the girls to discover.
