Is Your Baby Faking His Tears?

Jan 20 2014 - 11:36am

What seems like a cry for help may actually be a cry for attention. A recent study found that some babies are capable of faking their tears. Researchers tracked babies' emotions throughout the day, paying specific attention to the moment before a tantrum. While many experience emotional duress moments before crying, others were very happy. In the latter situation, the babies began to cry when their caregivers stopped playing with them or turned away to another person. Researches believe this was the baby's way of saying, "Come back! I was having fun."
