Newborn baby Teddy was alive for less than two hours, but he made a life-changing impact that his parents and others will remember forever. After spending precious final moments with his parents and his newborn twin brother, Teddy became the UK's youngest organ donor ever by donating his kidneys to an adult in need.

Jess Evans and Mike Houlston were ecstatic to find out they were pregnant with twins, and then at the 12-week mark, the parents found out something serious was wrong with one of the babies. He had anencephaly, a rare and fatal abnormality that prevents the skull from fully developing around the brain.

Even though Jess and Mike described the experience as unimaginably tough, they knew they wanted to find a way to make the tragedy positive by helping others. "Organ donation was something I've always felt quite strongly about ever since I was a child," said Teddy's mom.

"We want people to see him. We are so proud of him. We knew he was never going to be coming come home with us, but those few minutes that we had were the most amazing few minutes that we'll ever have," the parents told BBC.
