Graco Recalls 5 Million Strollers Due to Amputation Risk

Graco has issued a recall on nearly five million of its strollers, and it's a scary one. After receiving 11 reports of injuries — including full and partial fingertip amputations — the brand is recalling the following Graco and Century-branded stroller models:

  • Aspen
  • Breeze
  • Capri
  • Glider
  • Kite
  • LiteRider
  • Sierra
  • Solara
  • Sterling
  • TravelMate

Babies' fingers are getting caught in a folding hinge on the sides of these strollers, and the repercussions are quite serious. Some 4.7 million of these models have been sold in the US since 2000 at Target, Toys"R"Us, and Walmart and online at Amazon.com. If the recall applies to you, contact Graco online or by calling 800-345-4109 to receive your free repair kit (available next month). Be sure to share the news with your parent friends — we'd hate to see any more children suffer from this scary malfunction.
