When 27-year-old NASCAR driver Brian Scott proposed to his girlfriend, he was asking more than one person to love him forever — he wanted his future wife, Whitney, and her young daughter, Brielle, to become part of his family. So naturally, when he Whitney in a beautiful mountain ceremony, Brian felt the need to make promises to his new stepdaughter, as well. After reading his emotional vows to the bride, the groom brought the entire audience to tears by crouching next to 4-year-old Brielle and asking, "Brielle, can I tell you something?"

"I promise to always hold your hand and skip with you down the street and bring comfort to your life. I vow to make you say your prayers before you eat. I promise to read you stories at night, to always tuck you in real tight. I vow to show you how a man should treat a woman in my relationship with your mother. And above all else, I vow to protect you, care for you, and love you forever," Brian promised, wiping away his own tears while making vows to his young stepdaughter. By the time he finished his sweet speech, the friends and family who had gathered to celebrate the couple's nuptials were all weeping — and we'd be lying if we pretended we weren't crying, too.

"He loves Brielle more than life itself, and I think it was cool for everyone to really witness his love for her," the bride told Buzzfeed of her new husband's vows to Brielle, adding that her daughter is a total daddy's girl. As Brian picked his little girl up to walk back up the aisle as an official family, he definitely proved Whitney's point!
