Hank Azaria's New Fatherhood Series Touches on the Meaning of Being a Dad

In this age of information overload, it's pretty easy to research your way in or out of a decision. But sometimes life gets in the way and makes the decision for you. In Fatherhood, Hank Azaria's new web series with AOL On and mom.me, the actor sets out to make an informed decision about starting a family with his longtime girlfriend. But when fate steps in and he finds himself on the verge of fatherhood, he does what any good dad-to-be would do, he turns to his friends for advice — albeit Azaria's friends include such famous fathers as Kevin Bacon, Richard Kind, Bryan Cranston, Willie Garson, and Mike Myers (to name a few). As Azaria tweeted, "I asked a bunch of famous dads questions that I would have asked even if I wasn't filming them...but I was filming them."

The first episode of the series, which premieres today, is full of Azaria's expected humor, but it is the touching moments — I dare you not to shed a tear when Bacon speaks about fatherhood — that ring true for experienced parents. Take a look, and you'll agree. This funnyman may have made the most serious film about fatherhood we've ever seen.

New episodes of Fatherhood will appear every Wednesday through March on mom.me.
