LeBron James Is None Too Happy That His 10-Year-Old Son Is Receiving College Scholarship Offers

When your dad's one of the greatest NBA stars in history, your basketball skills are being monitored from the moment you step foot on the court. But when you're LeBron James Jr., the 10-year-old son of the Cleveland Cavaliers star, and the people monitoring you are the coaches from the top NCAA college teams, it's bound to raise some questions — from your father.

Bronny, as the tyke is known, has already proven himself to be a basketball prodigy, leading his 10-and-under team to an AAU national championship and showing off his skills during the John Lucas All-Star Weekend Tournament. His skills have caught the eye of several NCAA coaches, much to his father's dismay.

"Yeah, he's already got some offers from colleges," James told CBS Detroit. "It's pretty crazy. It should be a violation. You shouldn't be recruiting 10-year-old kids."

According to James Sr., his son has already received some scholarship offers from colleges, even though he's still in elementary school. Among the coaches who've mentioned their interest are Ohio State coach Thad Matta — who last year said that Bronny "will be" on the coach's radar in the future — and University of Kentucky coach John Calipari, who posted a picture of Bronny visiting his office and wearing his championship rings.

While the NCAA has strict rules about recruiting "prospective players," Bronny doesn't appear to be considered a prospect yet, because he is too young. It's a loophole that, given James Jr.'s prowess on the court, coaches appear to be taking advantage of, even if Dad isn't too pleased!

Take a look at Bronny's skills below, as well a few fun pics that his father has shared in recent months.
