Whether you know her best from her role in Clarissa Explains It All or Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Hart is now expanding her résumé to include children's clothing designer. Inspired by their three little boys, Melissa and her husband, Mark Wilkerson, have launched King of Harts , a line of fun, functional, and reasonably priced apparel for boys sizes 2-12.
"With this line we not only wanted to create a really great durable product for boys, but we made it a priority to keep the production of the line local to where we live. Our country isn't only represented in the clothing design, but every piece is also made in America," Melissa says.
In addition to being made right here in the USA, King of Harts is doing its part to give back to the community. A percentage of the brand's sales will benefit Youth Villages, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families.
King of Harts's Winter line is currently available for preorder online .
Melissa's three boys, Tucker, Braydon, and Mason, inspired the new line.
Veteran childrenswear designer Souad Acha joined the King of Harts team to design pieces that blend modern details with a vintage feel.
Made in America
Keeping production here in the US was a big priority for Melissa and Mark, who have also represented various elements of Americana in their designs.
What to Expect
The line features fun essentials like the camo shorts and chambray shirts shown here, plus graphic tees and cargo pants for boys sizes 2-12.
