Mom Jumps From Burning Building While Holding Son to Save Their Lives

When Christine Simoes saw flames rising in her home last week, her main priority was saving her son Cameron. Trapped in a burning apartment, the Massachusetts mom knew the only way to escape was to jump from a window three stories above the ground. So, she held her son close to her chest and jumped. As soon as they landed on the ground, Christine told Cameron to run for help. While Cameron was unscathed from the leap, Christine sustained a serious vertebrae injury. When asked if she regrets her decision, the mom says no.

"All I was thinking about was getting him out of there," Simoes told a local news station. "He mattered way more than I did."
