Police Officer Gives Mom a Car Seat, Not a Ticket

Talk about a good cop. During a routine patrol, public safety officer Ben Hall pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. When he approached the car, he saw the child in the backseat was strapped in with a seat belt and not in the required car seat. The mother explained that she knew she needed a car seat but couldn't afford one at the time. So rather than issue the mother a ticket (or worse), Hall had the mother pull into a nearby Walmart, where he purchased a car seat for the child. Judging by the photos, we think Hall made a few new friends through his good deed.
