The Google History of a Pregnant Woman

Back in the day, when women found out they were pregnant, they would pore over books to figure out what to expect when they were expecting. While some may still opt for the paperback route, many have gone paperless, using parenting websites and Google to learn about pregnancy. But what exactly are these moms-to-be trying to find out? A recent analysis of search engine terms broke down what pregnant women around the world really want to know when they have a bun in the oven.

According to the results, women in the US are mainly concerned about their figure during the nine-month period, with top searches related to stretch marks, losing weight, and staying fit. The same search terms were found among women in Australia, Britain, Nigeria, and South Africa. Pregnant women in India, however, have something more intimate on their minds, with their top terms being "do sex," "have sex," and "sex." Safety is also a major concern for moms-to-be across the globe. While the terms may vary, women worry about what they can eat, drink, and take for medication while pregnant.
