A Superhero Party That Packs a Powerful Punch
When your mom plans parties for a living, you know that your own birthday is going to be an occasion for some serious fanfare. Four-year-old Enzo, the son of event planner Keren Precel, recently rang in his special day with a comic book bash that we can't get enough of. "Enzo's most recent celebration was in the midst of his 'superhero phase,' so mommy Keren called upon Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Captain Marvel — who ensured him and his friends a dreamy superhero bash!" she told us. Check out all of the thoughtful details and clever touches that made Enzo's party such a success, and borrow them for your own little Superman or Wonder Woman.
We Came to Party!
This giant backdrop greeted guests as they arrived to Enzo's celebration.
Dress the Part
As Enzo's guests arrived, each selected their favorite of many capes, all decorated with a different superhero logo.
Basic Training
Once in their gear, "all the boys and girls participated in 'How to Be a Real-Life Superhero' training: sliding, crawling, flying, jumping, singing, and fighting evil (in the form of a stuffed monster)," Keren told us.
Vintage Vibe
Vintage comic book posters adorned the walls.
Fuel Up
"Tired and hungry, all kids (and adults) enjoyed an all-American buffet featuring wrapped superhero sliders with a side of fries served in a decorated cone, mac and cheese served in personal branded cups, mini Greek salads, and other yummy veggies," Keren said. The burgers were from Dishful Catering, and the rest of the food was made by Alex Nirenberg.
Feed a Crowd
The menu featured foods that would be appealing to both the kiddie and grown-up guests.

Pick a Mac, Any Mac!
The mac and cheese was served in individual to-go cups with superhero logos.
Superbaby!
The party's tiniest hero didn't miss out on a minute of fun.
Fighting Evil in Any Form
The happy birthday boy and Iron Man took a superpowered break together.
Real-Life Superheroes
The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man (straight from Characters for Hire) cruised in to the delight of all of the little guests.
The Supersquad
It was all smiles from this crowd!
A Place of Their Own
The place settings for the "superkids" at this bash were so simple but so much fun!
Tote-Tastic
The superpractical party favors came in the form of superhero-themed totes (stocked with capes and other gear!).
Take Action!
For a superhero party, action figures are the easiest way to create a fun, themed tablescape.
