While we admire this Australian family's commitment to preserving the world's lion population, we have to wonder what they know that we don't know. Aren't lions, even baby lions...wild?

The family took in a lion cub (currently about the size of a house cat) whose mother could not produce enough milk. Their two-year-old daughter named the cub "Sassy," and now likes to pal around with her in her crib.
