The Prettiest Way to Get to the Hundred Acre Wood

Apr 25 2014 - 8:52am

When it comes to hosting a themed baby shower, there's a fine line between subtlety and taking the motif a bit too far (especially when the honoree's an adult!). We think that this absolutely elegant Winnie-the-Pooh shower by Lauryn Prattes of Table 6 Productions [1] hit the nail on the head. Soft colors, dreamy watercolors, and a menu of bite-size comfort foods made this grown-up journey to the Hundred Acre Wood an especially memorable affair for mom-to-be Maggie and her lucky guests.

The Bountiful Buffet

The menu of comfort-food minis (and the most adorable cake!) was displayed on a fabric-covered table with simple white floral arrangements.

The Highlights

Delicate nibbles, stylish (but not too literal) centerpieces, and of course, a glowing mom-to-be with a stack of thoughtful gifts made the day a success.

The Gang's All Here!

Fondant versions of Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger make for the sweetest cake, flanked, of course, by milk and honey.

The Light and Airy Table Settings

Thoughtful details stand out more when they have room to breathe. Case in point, these soft, striped tablecloths that provide the perfect backdrop for the topiary bunny centerpieces, framed Winnie-the-Pooh quotes, and honey-jar favors.
