World's 4th Smallest Baby Goes Home After 6 Months

Nicki Moore can't believe she finally has her baby girl at home. Her daughter Kenna was born in January when she was just 24 weeks along. Kenna weighed only 9.6 ounces and is the fourth smallest surviving baby in the world.

Kenna spent the first six months of her life in the neonatal intensive care unit of Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, and finallly made it home on Tuesday. She now weighs six pounds.

Although Kenna still needs oxygen and a lot of monitoring, her mom told The Charlotte Observer that she's not that different from other babies now that she's home: “She’s doing normal baby stuff. She wakes up, she has a feeding, she gets her diaper changed, she goes back to sleep for a couple hours.”
