Best Friends Work Together to Raise Autism Awareness

For Caiden Hooks and Brandon Cannon, wrestling is not only an after-school activity but also a way for them to help others. When the 10-year-olds met, Brandon noticed something special about Caiden — he was blind. He later learned that Caiden was also diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. Caiden, however, doesn't consider this a disadvantage. Rather, he sees it as a way to inspire others, and that's what he and his best buddy are doing.

The two boys, in partnership with the Make It Fit Foundation, have started Wrestling Buddies For Autism Awareness, a fundraiser to help others in Caiden's condition. Using the app Mobile Cause, people across the country can submit their donations by texting "wrestle" to 41444 with their name and the amount they'd like to pledge.
