Kolibree Toothbrush

Kolibree Toothbrush

The days of kids telling you they brushed their teeth for the full two minutes may become a thing of the past thanks to the Kolibree Toothbrush. This smart toothbrush can actually analyze family members' brushing habits and send the information to a dashboard in a free downloadable app. Among the data the toothbrush checks: whether kids brushed long enough and what parts of the mouth the brush actually touched. When brushing habits improve, the app — which stores information for up to five family members — actually cheers you on to further encourage good behavior.

The Kolibree brush will be available in the Fall, and prices will range from $99 to $200.

The DreamTab

The DreamTab

There's no slowing down the invasion of tablets in the kiddie world, but the latest one to join the fray may be the cutest of all. Fuhu, the company behind the popular Android-powered Nabi line of kids tablets, is partnering with DreamWorks, the animation company behind such hits as Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, to introduce the DreamTab. The new tablet will house exclusive DreamWorks content for kids including Dancing Madagascar penguins greeting users, Shrek telling kids it's time to power down, and even an animation lesson taught by DreamWorks employees. But DreamTab users will also have the ability to stream non-DreamWorks content, including programs from Nickelodeon and Disney. DreamWorks character accessories will also be available separately.

The DreamTab should be available this Spring, and prices are expected to start below $300.

Moneual Smart Wristband Baby Monitor

Moneual Smart Wristband Baby Monitor

High-tech baby monitors are nothing new, but Moneual's Smart Wristband Baby Monitor caters to a very specific crowd — the hearing impaired. The monitor can distinguish between white noise and baby cries to send an alert to the Bluetooth-enabled watch. The watch then vibrates and flashes an LED light to let the wearer know that the baby is crying — when the red light flashes, the baby need immediate attention.

Mother

Mother

Because "Big Brother" may sound a little too imposing, Sen.se's Mother is will provide anxious parents with a sense of where people are in the home at any time. The matryoshka-like device comes with four mobile sensors that can be placed anywhere in the home to monitor movement. They can determine which family members are home, what the temperature is in the room, how well kids are sleeping, if they brushed their teeth, and more. The data — up to 24 different pieces of data — can then be sent to owners via text message and email for monitoring — meaning teens won't ever be able to lie about what time they came home again!

Mother will hit store shelves in February and will cost $222.
