A Candy-Filled Valentine's Day Party For Your Little Sweetheart
"My daughter loves pink, and I love red," Bird of Bird's Party told us. "So this year for Valentine's, I decided to take a very girlie route for my dessert table. Her beautiful Valentine's Day soiree featured the traditional colors of the holiday and lots (and lots) of candy. Scroll down to see all of the sweet details, and get inspired for your own pink-and-red party!
Bird's-Eye View
"The desserts were set up on a white, simple table, covered with glittery pink wallpaper," Bird told us. "This so happens to also be washable and such a pretty way to dress the table — no need to hem like with fabric. It's also pretty economical!"
Pop!
Pink balloons were accented with red and pink tissue paper tassels.
Oh, Goody!
The favors don't need to be complicated or extravagant. Simple white boxes held gumball necklaces and were finished off with red and pink satin ribbon.
DIY Candy Bar
Gumballs and other sweet treats were displayed in clear pedestal candy jars, and guests could serve themselves with mini metal scoops and embellished paper goody bags.
Print Your Own Party
The entire printable party kit (including these cute tented buffet cards) can be purchased on Bird's Party for just $8.
Cupcake Cuteness Overload
These sweet vanilla cupcakes were topped off with cream cheese frosting and a smattering of sugar heart sprinkles. Each was topped off with a chocolate heart lollipop.
Sip on This!
Drinks (red, of course!) were served in glass milk bottles and rimmed in red sugar.
Gumballs Galore
Mini gumball machines full of shimmery pink, red, and white gumballs make for favors that every guest can get excited about.
Seasonal Sweet Treats
It's too cold for ice cream, but chocolate mousse makes a pretty great substitute. Bird served hers up in individual ice cream containers decorated with printable labels and pretty wooden spoons.
Sealed With a Kiss
The customizable invites come as a part of Bird's printable party package. They come as a digital file that can be easily edited with the details of our own get-together.
A Little Glitter Goes a Long Way
These chevron and polka-dot favor bags were fun on their own, but add a little glitter embellishment, and you're on to a whole new level of glam, girlie party fun.
The Fun Starts Here
"We also made glittered hair clips in the shapes of lips and hearts, using the printables," Bird said. "Those were clipped to a card and given out as party favors, too."
Hey, Sweet Heart
In addition to the clear glass pedestals, DIY printable, patterned boxes made pretty vessels for the candy bar.
Spice Up Your Straws
These fun straw flags are included in Bird's printable ensemble. Just print 'em out and adhere to striped straws for a chic look.
Trick of the Trade
Bird's favorite resource for specialty candies is SweetWorks, where ordering online is super easy, and you know exactly what you're going to get.
